Pre Qualification Group

The Pre-Qualification group represents members of the DCP, who are working towards a career in clinical psychology.

By joining the DCP at a General - Pre-Training - or In-Training level, you will automatically become a member of the Pre-Qualification Group at no extra charge.

Our members include those in postgraduate study or in a pre-training role, such as a Support Worker, Graduate Primary Care Mental Health Worker or Assistant Psychologist. 

We ensure members have a voice within the profession. We also distribute details of current developments that impact our members.


What we do

The Pre-Qualification group produces publications such as the Alternative Handbook and organise events for our members.

Group of Trainers in Clinical Psychology (GTiCP)

The GTiCP is a network for colleagues involved in delivering training programmes in clinical psychology across the UK.


Society Qualifications

If you are interested in training to become a Chartered Psychologist, the Society offers the Qualification in Clinical Psychology and the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
