DCP Northern Ireland

Welcome

Dear Members,

Welcome to the DCPNI website. DCPNI provides valuable support to members and to the profession in Northern Ireland.

We have two very important functions. Firstly, we are here to support our members and to support professional practice and development needs of our members. We develop and deliver annual training and CPD programmes relevant to professional and clinical practice. Some of the events we have planned for the coming year can be found on the website. Others events will be distributed to our membership as details become available. We hope every member will benefit from this programme. To influence this programme in the coming years, please engage with your Faculty or Special Interest Group.

Secondly, within Northern Ireland we strive to external external influence in policy, standards, commissioning and society in relation to psychological health and well-being. We engage, as leading members, with regional policy, strategy and commission groups. We forge partnerships with service user and carer groups, other professional bodies and colleagues in other branches of applied psychology. We strive to do this to the benefit of all the populations we service. This strategic engagement is of vital important in the ever changing landscape of health and social care. We actively respond to important consultations in relation to health and social care and in relation to wider social issues affecting Northern Ireland. We welcome the involvement of every member in these processes.

If you have any queries in relations to DCPNI, please do not hesitate to contact us via email to [email protected]
