An affiliate member of the Socity does not need to have any formal psychological training, but must demonstrate a genuine interest in the theory and practice of psychology.

With the increasing popularity of psychologically grounded techniques for business and personal improvement, professional standards and ethics for all providers of coaching services and especially those with a psychological focus are becoming more important. Members of the SGCP are bound by the Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles and Guidelines.

Membership Announcement List

Membership announcement email lists are used to inform members of Society activities and initiatives that are relevant and specific to members as well as requests for engagement on topical issues and input on surveys.

Joining Society membership announcement emails lists is an automatic process and linked via your membership record. For example, if you are a SGCP member in Northern Ireland, in this instance you would be assigned to the SGCP and BPS Northern Ireland Branch membership announcement lists too. However, you will need to opt-in if you are not already receiving these emails.

It is therefore important to keep your society membership record up to date!
